Marrakech – Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (WAC) was knocked out of the African Champions League despite its 1-0 win over Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas, Saturday at the Marrakech Grand Stadium, during the 6th and final day of group B.

Mountassir Lahtimi scored the only goal of the game in the 18th minute.

WAC needed a victory against the Ivorians, 1st in the Group and already qualified, while waiting for a defeat or a tie from Tanzania’s Simba SC, which managed to best Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy (6-0).

Just recently, Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that at least 15 children died over the past few days from malnutrition and dehydration at the Kamal Adwan hospital.

“We fear for the lives of 6 (other) children suffering from malnutrition and diarrhea at the hospital’s intensive care unit as a result of the cessation of the electric generator and oxygen and the weakness of medical capabilities,” Ashraf Al-Qudra, the Gaza Health Ministry’s spokesperson, said.

It is worth noting that the hospital has been out of service for months due to the continuous Israeli attacks and lack of fuel and medicine.
