MSDF Organizes Workshop to Celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day

Doha: Represented by its Social Welfare Department, Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) organized a workshop under the title ‘You Can,’ to enhance support for persons with disabilities, in cooperation with Mada Center for Assistive Technology.

This event came in conjunction with the events held to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day, aimed at promoting a culture of creativity and innovation in various fields, including efforts to integrate persons with disabilities into society.

On this occasion, Director of the Social Welfare Department Reem Al Ajmi said that the department is committed to providing comprehensive and sustainable support to persons with disabilities, through implementing programs and initiatives aimed at empowering them and integrating them into society effectively.

Al Ajmi stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities for all members of society, and urged all concerned parties to cooperate and partner in order to build a more comprehensive and solidary so
ciety.

This workshop comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the inclusiveness of society and promote sustainable social development by supporting and empowering all segments of society, including persons with disabilities, and in confirmation of its full commitment to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to build a sustainable and prosperous society based on comprehensive development and promoting inclusivity and social justice.

A diverse group of experts and specialists in the field of training and capacity building as well as social development are participating in the workshop, to exchange experiences and develop strategies that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities, and integrating them effectively into all aspects of social and economic life.

The workshop includes a variety of activities and presentations to enhance the culture of creativity and innovation among persons with disabilities.
