Qatari driver Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah won for the second year in a row the Qatar International Baja title, the second round of the FIA World Cup and the Middle East Cross Country, and the second round also of the FIM World Cup, which was organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation over three days, with the participation of more than 100 teams from 31 countries.
Driving Toyota-Hilux, Al Attiyah, the five-time Dakar Rally Champion, and co-driver Mathieu Baumel excelled in the stages of the last day topped the general standings, with a total time of 184.108.40.206 hours, 16.21.6 minutes ahead of the runner-up, Kazakh Denis Krotov and Russian co-driver Konstantin Zhiltsov who finished the race in 5.08.11.3 hours aboard the Toyota Hilux Overdrive.
Chinese Guoyu Zhang and his Spanish co-driver Oriol Mena took the third place with their Baic ORC BJ40 after finishing the race in 5.11.00.6 hours. (QNA)
