National Earthquake Center: 20 light aftershocks recorded over 24 past hours

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck on Friday northeast of Hama, at 6 km, at 8:48 a.m.

The National Earthquake Center stated in a statement that the tremor was recorded at longitude 36.761 east and latitude 35.181 north, with a depth of 10.5 km.

The center pointed out that another quake was recorded at 8:15 a.m. this morning in Liwa Iskenderun, 59 km northwest of Idleb, at longitude 36 east, latitude 36.071 north, and at a depth of 8.1 km. with 4.2 magnitudes on the Richter scale.

The Center added that its monitoring stations recorded during the past 24 hours, from yesterday evening until 7 a.m today, 18 light aftershocks, including one in the Syrian coast, 43 km north of Lattakia, with 2.5 magnitudes, and a quake southwest of Tartous, at 31 km, with a magnitude of 1.4.
