Palestine, Turkmenistan Foreign Ministers Sign Joint Cooperation Agreement

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki and his Turkmen Counterpart Rashid Meredov signed a protocol of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a joint ministerial committee headed by two foreign ministers.

The protocol of political consultations, which was signed today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, includes holding regular political consultation sessions in both Palestine and Turkmenistan, and coordination between the two parties at the political and diplomatic levels, in what concerns the Palestinian and Turkmen affairs as well as regional and international issues, and other issues of common concern.

The two sides agreed to work to implement joint projects between the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency (PICA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in specific development fields, including development projects in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group, and cultural events to be organized in the two countries during the year 2024.
