Palestinian Boy Shot, Killed by Israeli Occupation Soldiers at Anata Town East Jerusalem

Media office in Jerusalem has confirmed that the 17-year-old Palestinian boy, Shadi Shiha, was killed after the Israeli occupation soldiers shot him in the town of Anata town, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, local sources indicated that Israeli snipers from within the settlement of Pisgat Zeev established on the lands of Palestinians east of Jerusalem, fired at Shadi, under the pretext of him throwing stones at the Israeli soldiers from behind the apartheid and expansion wall.

The incident led to Shiha sustaining critical injuries and was consequently transferred to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. By this incident the death toll in the West Bank surges to 625 martyrs since October 7, among them 146 kids and 9 women.

A local source reported that the Israeli occupation soldiers raided Al-Khader, stationed at the Baloua’ junction near the Old City, along the street leading to the Gate area. They fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters, which led to several Palestinians suffering from suffoc
ation due to inhaling toxic gas.

Confrontations also erupted with the Israeli forces in the Shuafat refugee camp and the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, with eyewitnesses reporting that a large number of Israeli soldiers broke into Shuafat refugee camp north of Jerusalem and fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters at Palestinian vehicles, commercial shops, and homes, leading to clashes. However, no injuries were reported.

Additionally, the Israeli police raided Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem and assaulted several Palestinians, which resulted in further clashes Since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the Israeli occupation army and its settlers have stepped up attacks on Jerusalem, its residents, and holy sites, in an attempt to accelerate the pace of settlement, Judaization, and alter the status quo in the holy city.

Earlier, hundreds of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police, infiltrated into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mos
que, with the Islamic Waqf Department at the Al-Aqsa Mosque reporting that nearly 2,958 settlers had stormed the courtyards of the mosque, marking an unprecedented rise in the number of intruders.

It added that the Israeli forces obstructed worshippers from entering the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa and deployed a sheer number of soldiers at its gates to facilitate the settlers’ incursions.
