Polish Minister of Culture to QNA: HH the Amir’s Visit Will Positively Impact Bilateral Relations

Warsaw, HE Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland Hanna Wroblewska stressed that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Poland will positively impact the existing cooperation between the two countries and contribute to elevating it to broader horizons, particularly in the cultural field.

In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency , Her Excellency said that the cultural relations between Qatar and Poland are deep and extend back many years, noting the holding of an exhibition of a Qatari art exhibition in Poland and one for Polish art in Qatar.

She pointed out that the Polish people have a strong desire to learn about Qatari and Arab culture, and she hopes that the Qatari people share the same desire to increase cultural cooperation. She noted that recent years have seen several Polish cultural events organized in Qatar, where renowned Polish musicians have performed and been well-received by the Qatari people.

She highlighted the signing of several agreem
ents between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Poland to enhance bilateral cooperation, expecting that the coming years will witness further cooperation and the strengthening of cultural relations between the two countries.

Regarding cultural and artistic activities in Qatar, HE Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland noted that Qatar places significant importance on culture and the arts in general, and specifically on theater, and expressed her keenness to learn about Qatari culture and arts.

She said she was open to organizing joint Qatari-Polish cultural events in the two countries, aiming to enhance cultural exchange between them, and referred to the joint publishing project with the National Library of Poland.

Her Excellency told QNA that the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland aspires to enhance cultural cooperation with Qatar and establish programs for exchanging experiences and visits between artists from both countries. She expressed hope that the n
ear future would see exhibitions of Qatari art in Poland and Polish art in Qatar, as well as joint Qatari-Polish cultural weeks and events to enhance cultural exchange between the two nations.

She noted Qatar’s global reputation for supporting art and artists worldwide, specifically mentioning Qatar’s significant contribution to supporting one of the most important arts in the National Library of Poland, which is the art of Arabian horses. In this regard, she hoped for further cooperation between the two countries in supporting outstanding talents in various other artistic fields.

Regarding Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the role of the tournament in promoting cultural cooperation among peoples, the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage affirmed that sports serve as a link between cultures worldwide, noting that Qatar has successfully promoted its culture through sports that unite all peoples.
