Doha: In their editorials on Monday, Qatari newspapers covered several topics including the verbal message received by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani from HE President of the Republic of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, as well as the discussions between HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Djibouti Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed.

They also noted that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended Sunday the graduation ceremony of the 2024 batch of members of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities.

In its editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the relationship between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Djibouti is distinguished by a history of collaboration in many fields and mutual coordination in regional and inter
national forums.

The newspaper noted that as part of the mutual desire to enhance cooperative relations between the two countries, HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Djibouti Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed carried a verbal message to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani regarding the bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest. During the visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Djibouti to Doha, discussions were held with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

The newspaper concluded by stressing that the keen interest of the wise leaderships of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Djibouti, and their ongoing awareness of the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation between the two countries, constitutes the strongest drive for a qualitative leap in bilateral relations, especially given t
he shared concern for ensuring security and stability, achieving development, prosperity, and economic integration in Africa.

On the other hand, Al-Watan emphasized Qatar’s commitment to providing the best services for people with disabilities through various frameworks, stressing that this commitment is based on the countrys Permanent Constitution, its National Vision 2030, national development strategies, and the adoption of several initiatives aimed at fully integrating people with disabilities.

The editorial noted that, in line with this commitment, the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities was established in 1999 to provide exemplary services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism under the age of 21, focusing on education, rehabilitation, and raising community awareness about their issues and rights to ensure a more independent life and greater integration into society.

The newspaper said that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman
bin Jassim Al-Thani attended Sunday the graduation ceremony of the 2024 batch of members of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, adding that His Excellency honored the 43 graduates from the Shafallah Center and handed them their graduation certificates.

Al-Watan concluded by pointing out that the graduates of this batch received specialized educational and rehabilitative services according to the highest global standards, aimed at developing their personal abilities, enhancing their skills, and supporting their integration into society. Enhancing and protecting the rights of people with disabilities is a top priority for the State of Qatar, reflecting its belief in the importance of protecting human rights in general and the rights of people with disabilities in particular.
