Under the headline “A Fruitful Visit…Broad Prospects for Relations”, Al-Arab daily emphasized in its editorial that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s official visit to Hungary comes within the framework of Qatari policy values, which are based on building bridges and the strongest ties and relations with various brotherly and friendly countries and peoples of the world.

The newspaper expressed confidence that the visit will contribute to enhancing relations of cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, noting the signing of an agreement and several memoranda of understanding and cooperation between the governments of both countries.

The newspaper underlined the importance of announcing the raising of the level of bilateral relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership, following the visit, as it is of great importance in the effort to enhance relations in broad horizons. In this regard, it pointed out that HE President of Hungary Katalin Novak aspires to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries. She also congratulated HH the Amir and the State of Qatar for the distinguished hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Concluding, Al-Arab said that the relations between Qatar and Hungary are close and distinguished at all levels. They witnessed remarkable development over the years due to the mutual official visits between the two countries. The bilateral relations are organized by a set of agreements and MOU signed between the two countries, which cover cooperation in the political, commercial, industrial, cultural, artistic and tourism fields, as well as sports and youth, air services, avoidance of double taxation and prevention of financial evasion, in addition to cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, business, education, higher education and scientific research.

In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial titled “HH the Amir’s Visit Strengthens Relations with Hungary”, that the results of the meetings and talks held by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during his visit to Hungary with HE President of Hungary Katalin and HE Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban will pave the way for establishing robust relationships and a strong strategic partnership between the two countries in all fields, especially in light of the common desire and mutual keenness to strengthen and develop bilateral relations and propel them towards new areas and broader horizons, in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

The paper pointed out that HH the Amir and HE President of Hungary agreed during their meeting to develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially energy, economy, and investment. This was reflected in the outcomes of the official talks session, which focused on bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, and the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding to establish the foundations of cooperation in multiple areas.

The paper added that the results of HH the Amir’s visit to the friendly Hungary will have an impact on the future of bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries, with the impetus it provided for the course of these relations, moving them towards the level of a strategic partnership.

In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that what supports the course of these relations is the strong political will of both countries, the mutual official visits, and the policy of the State of Qatar based on building bridges and the strongest ties and relations with various brotherly and friendly countries and peoples of the world.

Under the headline “Improving Qatars education”, English-language newspaper The Peninsula said in its editorial today that to achieve the countrys goals, the education sector has been a powerful tool to bring these lofty ambitions to fruition. Besides, the government support of the sector has facilitated steady development and growth for students and teachers.

In 2022, the education sector received generous support from the government, reaching QR17.8 billion, about 9% of the States budget, the paper said, adding that last year, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi announced four main focal points for developing the educational system in Qatar over the next eight years in the implementation of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The paper noted that ahead of the new academic year 2023/24, the Minister of Education yesterday said the Ministry started intensive work to develop comprehensive policies related to the quality of student life, including their physical and psychological safety, social participation, and empowering students with disabilities and providing further communication with parents to participate in their childrens learning.

The paper pointed out that addressing the annual educational forum, the Minister launched a training program based on investing in human capital to boost teachers experiences in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and offer Qatari public school teachers training in educationally advanced countries through classroom coexistence lessons in different learning environments with their peers in those countries, designed to enhance Qatari teachers professional growth and open up horizons for them to learn.

Over the last decade, the State of Qatar has undertaken several initiatives and implemented reforms to modernize its educational system. Qatar plans to shift to a knowledge-based economy to enable social and economic progress with sustainable development across all sectors, The Peninsula concluded.
