English newspaper The Peninsula said that massacres against innocent Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip are continuing daily within the occupied Palestine territories. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) underscores the chilling reality, revealing that over 15,000 children have fallen victim to the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) since the commencement of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023.

This mounting evidence has prompted outcry from nations like South Africa and various human rights organizations demanding urgent intervention from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to halt the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Yesterday, South Africa urged the ICJ to intervene and halt the assault on Rafah, highlighting the urgent need for action to prevent further atrocities, the paper pointed out.

Despite the ICJs legal authority, its ability to enforce rulings remains limited. Adila Hassim, a lawyer, passionately condemned the deliberate obstruction of humanitarian aid by Israel, emphasizing the u
rgent need for a permanent ceasefire to ensure compliance with existing court orders and prevent further suffering, the paper added.

The paper warned that the politicization of international humanitarian law poses a grave threat to global peace and security, raising profound questions about the prospects for peace and stability in a world where powerful interests undermine justice for political gain.

Commenting on another topic, Al-Raya said that the State of Qatar launched “Al Fanar” or the Arabic Artificial Intelligence project during the 4th Qatar Economic Forum a few days ago with the aim of enriching large linguistic models and preserving the Arab identity.

The State of Qatar is witnessing great development in the field of science and technology, and has achieved many great accomplishments in topics related to innovation, technology and research, the paper added.

With the growing use of artificial intelligence technologies internationally, Qatar has been keen to include artificial intelligence techno
logies in many initiatives, in order to support the comprehensive digital transformation process through investing in the fields of technology, innovation and artificial intelligence, and supporting entrepreneurs and companies in the region. This demonstrates the countrys firm commitment to strengthening its regional position as a leading center for digital innovation, Al-Raya stressed.

Qatar occupies a prominent position in international indicators in the field of harnessing technology to develop government work, as well as the transition to a knowledge economy based on digital solutions, in order to achieve the goals of the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, Al-Raya concluded.
