Rabat-Salé Airport: Over a Million Passengers by End of Nov. 2023 (ONDA)GS’S BAISSARI DISCUSSES FIELD DEVELOPMENTS WITH LACROIX AND UNIFIL’S COMMANDER

Rabat – Rabat-Salé airport recorded a commercial traffic volume of 1,074,057 passengers during the first eleven months of 2023, according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA).

The volume represents a recovery rate of 106% compared with the same period in 2019 (1,011,756 passengers), said ONDA in its latest commercial air traffic report.

During the month of November 2023, the number of passengers transiting through this airport hub reached 109,362, compared with 91,955 during the same period in 2019, representing a recovery rate of 119%, it added.

ONDA also reported that the Kingdom’s airports welcomed 24,737,734 passengers at the end of November, up 7% on the same period in 2019, and 34% on 2022.

Acting Director General of General Security, Brigadier General Elias Baissari, on Tuesday received in his office, the UN’s Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, accompanied by the Commander of UNIFIL Forces, Major General Aroldo Lázaro.

Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, the UNIFIL’s work, in addition to field developments in light of Israel’s continued attacks on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and ways to reduce tension on the southern border.
