WORCESTER, MA / ACCESSWIRE / January 18, 2024 / Resinate, a local, integrated cannabis company announced they have teamed up with local nonprofit, Pawsitively 4 Pink on a special "Support your Breastie" Pre-roll to raise money for Pawsitively 4 Pink, which provides financial assistance for low-income, underserved women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in Massachusetts.
"This campaign is about showing love to those who are most in need and fostering human connections" said Michelle Power, Founder and CEO of Pawsiiviely 4 Pink. "The fact that we work with so many women who rely on the medicinal aspects of cannabis for pain management and chemo-related nausea and illness made teaming up an easy decision."
The prerolls will be available for purchase at Resinate’s Worcester and Northampton dispensaries along with more than a half dozen stores across the state that carry Resinate’s products. Resinate and partnering dispensaries will donate $1 from every sale. Just in its first weeks, the initiative is expected to raise tens of thousands of dollars.
To Resinate CEO Peter DeCaro, a cancer survivor, the collaboration is personal.
"On top of the emotional, physical and spiritual trauma associated with a cancer diagnosis, it can be financially devastating as well. Community support is so important for navigating these challenges," DeCaro said. "Part of our mission is to foster cannabis community involvement, and it’s encouraging to see already several leading dispensaries coming together with that sense of community to rally around this cause."
In addition to Resinate’s Worcester and Northampton dispensaries, participating retailers include Collective Premium Cannabis in Billerica and Littleton, CNA Stores in Haverhill and Amesbury, Caroline’s Cannabis in Uxbridge and Hopedale, CannaVana in Rockland, and Liberty Market Dispensary in Lanesborough.
