Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Jerusalem, Settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday, guarded by the Israeli occupation police.

Eyewitnesses said that settlers broke into Al Aqsa Mosque in successive groups from the Maghrebi Gate, carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals at the courtyards, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported.

The occupation police turned the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem into a military barracks and tightened their military measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, while 3,000 soldiers were deployed there under the pretext of securing the settlers.

There were calls on Palestinians in Jerusalem to station in Al-Aqsa Mosque tomorrow, Wednesday, to confront expected major incursions into Al-Aqsa and attempts to raise the occupation flag there on the anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem.

Nearly 4,277 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in May, according to data released by Jerusalem Endowments Council.
