Spain clinched their 4th UEFA European Football Championship crown, after defeating their English counterparts 2-1, in the final match that took place at Berlin’s Olympiastadion Sunday evening.

Spain’s goals were scored by Nicholas Williams in the 47th minute and Mikel Oyarzabal in the 86th minute, whereas Cole Palmer netted England’s lone goal in the 73rd minute.

Today’s final was tightly contested in the first half with cautious play from both teams, although Spain appeared more dominant with more attempts on target against their English rivals.

In the second half, Spain broke the deadlock early with a goal in the 47th minute when Lamine Yamal launched a deep pass into the penalty area to Nicholas Williams, who found the net past goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

England’s substitute Cole Palmer managed to equalize in the 73rd minute, receiving a pass just outside the penalty area from Jude Bellingham and firing a powerful ground shot past goalkeeper Unai Simon.

Oyarzabal snatched the crucial winning goal fo
r Spain in the 86th minute, receiving a low cross from his teammate Marc Cucurella on the left side and calmly placing the ball past Pickford with a single touch.

Spain has previously won the UEFA Euro Championship in 1964, 2008, and 2012, making them the most successful team in the tournament alongside Germany, who also has three titles.
