Sudan: Army and RSF’s Clashes Continue on Multiple Fronts

Clashes continued today between the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in several areas in Sudan.

The situation on the ground in all of its fronts, especially in Khartoum and Marawi Airport in northern Sudan as well as in other regions, is still seeing intense confrontations, with rising local, regional, and international efforts and initiatives appealing to the containment of the situation.

In turn, the United Nations condemned the killing of three World Food Program (WFP) employees during yesterday’s clashes in the country, who lost their lives whilst carrying out their duties.

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sudan Volker Perthes said in a statement that three staff members were killed in clashes that broke out in the Kabkabiya area of North Darfur.
