Sudans Army Agrees Safe Passage for Urgent Humanitarian Cases

The Sudanese army agreed to a proposal from the United Nations to open a safe passage for urgent humanitarian cases for three hours every day starting from 1600 local time on Sunday, the army said in a statement, stressing that it will reserve the right to react in case of any violations.

This move came after a number of international humanitarian organizations appealed for opening safe passages to deliver humanitarian aid and assist emergency cases.

Clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces continue in multiple axes within Khartoum state and a number of other states, in light of the increasing efforts of local, regional and international initiatives and appeals to contain the situation.
