– HE Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Mohamed Shahudy has received a copy of the credentials of HE Jassim bin Jaber Jassim Al Sorour as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar (non-resident) to the Maldives.

– HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigrants of the Lebanese Caretaker Government Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib met Monday with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

– QatarEnergy has signed an agreement on Monday with China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) for the construction of 6 additional state-of-the-art QC-Max vessels, bringing the total number of LNG vessels on order under its fleet expansion program to 128, including 24 QC-Max mega vessels.

– Qatar National Library hosted the third Doha Workshop on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Cultural Heritage, hearing from local, regional and international experts on how best to protect the history of the Arab region and the Middle East.

– The Qatari junior handball team lost to its Kuwaiti counterpart 28/32 Monday in its second match in the main round of the 10th Asian Junior Handball Championship, currently being held in Jordan and continuing until September 14, and qualifying for the World Championship 2025 in Slovenia.

– The General Assembly of Al Arabi Sports Club elected by acclamation HE Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al-Thani as President of the Club and Mohammed Jassim Al Kuwari as Vice President for the electoral cycle 2024-2028.
