The occupation demolishes two houses in Silwan

Jerusalem – Ma’an – The Israeli municipality’s machinery carried out two demolition operations in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Tuesday.

The occupation forces, accompanied by municipal crews and vehicles, stormed the Al-Thawri neighborhood in Silwan and completed the demolition of the Alian family, noting that its owner had recently emptied and demolished the largest part of it.

Alian and his family of 4 were forced to leave their home and carry out the demolition, and today he was surprised by the storming of what remained of the place.

In the Al-Bustan neighborhood, which is threatened with demolition in its entirety for the sake of a park, municipality vehicles and crews demolished the Awda family’s house, and during the demolition process, imposed a siege on the area.

The occupation municipality crews raid the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem on a daily basis, and post demolition notices and summonses to the municipality, under the pretext of building without a permit, while the
Jerusalemite complains about not obtaining building permits in the city and the imposition of ‘unreasonable’ conditions that cost millions of shekels for the licensing procedures, which are ‘general procedures and it is not certain that a permit will be obtained.’
