Turkish, Russian a Discuss Developments of War in Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed Saturday in a phone call the bilateral relations and regional issues.

The two presidents discussed steps to develop bilateral relations and developments of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Turkish presidency’s communication office said in a statement.

The statement added Erdogan indicated the possibility of taking new steps based on the agreement to enhance economic cooperation concluded between the two countries in Sochi in 2022.

The Turkish president pointed out that his country attaches importance to ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations as soon as possible.
