Tulkarm – Ma’an – In implementation of the plan of Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich to destroy camps in the northern West Bank, the occupation army continues to storm the city of Tulkarm and its camps, using bulldozers to demolish homes and destroy streets and infrastructure.

“The threat posed by Tulkarm must be eradicated and disappear from the world, and Tulkarm must become a city of ruins,” Bezalel Smotrich said last week during a meeting with settlement leaders.

In Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, photos and video clips showed the occupation bulldozers demolishing houses in the camp with their residents inside them.

The occupation army demolished parts of citizens’ homes in Nour Shams camp while their owners were inside.

During the dawn hours, these bulldozers began working inside Nour Shams camp, focusing on the most crowded neighborhood in the camp, leaving behind great destruction in the streets and homes of citizens there. Meanwhile, the occupation soldiers randomly raided citizens’ homes, searched t
hem, tampered with their contents, and interrogated the residents of those homes.

The occupation patrols roamed the city streets, specifically Al-Murabitun Mosque Street, Al-Alimi Roundabout (the courts), Khadouri Roundabout, Al-Sikka Street, Nablus Street, and the western, eastern and northern neighborhoods, towards the roads leading to Tulkarm camp.

The occupation forces deployed more heavy machinery to all entrances to the city, specifically to the Jabara military checkpoint in the south, and the Anab military checkpoint in the east, in addition to the “Nitzani Oz” gate west of Tulkarm.

The occupation forces surrounded Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and Al-Israa Specialized Hospital in the city.

The occupation forces deployed their snipers on a number of tall buildings in various neighborhoods of the city, while they stormed the Al-Aqsa neighborhood in the Shuweika suburb north of Tulkarm, amidst the sounds of heavy gunfire.

The occupation forces imposed a siege on Tulkarm camp, and reinforced th
eir patrols at its entrances, specifically the northern, eastern and southern ones.

The occupation forces detained the press crews while they were covering the events in the vicinity of Al-Younis roundabout in the northern neighborhood of the city and confiscated their IDs. They also stopped a citizen’s vehicle at Shuwaika roundabout and searched it and checked the IDs of its passengers without reporting any arrests.

The occupation forces caused significant disruption to the internet networks in the city and its camps.

The occupation forces, accompanied by 5 military bulldozers, stormed Nour Shams camp, passing through Al-Sikka Street and Iktaba roundabout, and were stationed near Al-Maslakh neighborhood, coinciding with the ongoing storming of the city and Tulkarm camp. They sent more military reinforcements towards it, and imposed a tight siege on it.

The occupation bulldozers destroyed citizens’ properties and infrastructure while moving towards Nour Shams camp, specifically on Al-Sikka Street, the vic
inity of the Martyr Saif Abu Labda roundabout at the main entrance to the camp, and the vicinity of the Nour Shams cemetery, in addition to bulldozing the vicinity of Al-Younis roundabout in the northern neighborhood of the city.

The occupation forces fired randomly around Nour Shams camp, causing a power outage in parts of the camp after one of the electricity transformers feeding it was hit.

During the past weeks, the Israeli Finance Minister threatened the city of Tulkarm more than once, especially after the bombing of a military vehicle inside the Nour Shams camp last week, which led to the death of a soldier.
