The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call today from the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

The Saudi Press Agency stated that during the call, both sides discussed many bilateral issues of concern, in addition to discussing the next steps in light of the recent tripartite agreement.

on March 10, Saudi Arabia and Iran announced that they had reached an agreement to resume diplomatic relations and reopen their respective embassies and missions within a period of maximum two months, in a move that was widely welcomed by the Arab and international community.
